Loughborough Greenfields Cricket Club didn’t have room for a fixed practice cage, as it would have extended onto the pitch and shortened the boundary so it wouldn’t have met league requirements.
So they needed a kind of hybrid cage – a fixed 4 m back section, with posts to secure it into sockets, and 14.3 m of folding sections, so the cage folds well back behind the boundary rope.
